Let’s try something different…

With a majority of the bow manufactures on the market getting ready to release or already having released their 2016 bow lineup, I was thinking about where I could go to get a good honest review of those bows. In the past I have read reviews in major magazines that basically regurgitate product specs and only say something positive about the bow, but never anything about what they didn’t like about the bows. It never gives any information about who the individual was that tested tested out the bow. This gave me an idea…

I would like to put out a bow review where I gather opinions from the readers of this blog. You will be the ones testing the bows and providing the reviews. Real reviews from real hunters. I am looking for volunteers to visit their local bow shop or sporting goods store and shoot a couple bows that you have no experience with. In order to keep this as unbiased as possible, I don’t want you to review the brand that you are currently shooting. So if you are currently shooting an Elite, I don’t want you reviewing an Elite bow. Here’s what we need to know:

  • What bows did you review?
  • What did you like about the bows you reviewed?
  • Product specs
  • What did you NOT like about the bows you tested?
  • What bow do you currently shoot?
  • Based on your research, would you stick with your old bow or go with a different bow?

If you are interested in taking part in this “test” please email ninefingerchronicles@gmail.com and we can hash out the details of what bows you need to review, just so we don’t have 10 people reviewing the the same bow. Once we finish gathering and organizing the data I will put together a podcast and blog where I interview the guys who took part in this project. I’ll won’t say a date until I see how many people want to get involved.

What do you think? Would anyone be interested in giving this a try? Other then being a guest on the podcast, I can offer you nothing. 🙂

Let me know,
Dan Johnson

I’m in too Dan, I shoot a Bowtech and am considering a new bow. After a shoulder surgery I would like a bow easy to hold at full draw as well as easy to draw after hours on stand. At this point in my life I’m not so into speed as I am accuracy and KE/momentum.

Happy New Year to you and the family.

No one has demoed anything. Come on guys I’m so new that I don’t know what I want to get and I was hoping that these 3 comments would show me 6 bows and pros and cons of each but I only got two bows reviewed and rest assured I’ll be checking them out there are so many bows and they all look the same! Where should one start??? I just found a bow pro shop near me, ps is Bass Pro shop somewhere I want to buy a bow from?
    Mathews chill ( X out of 10)?
    Bear Cruze ( X out of 10)?

What am I suppose to be looking for?
